Cyril Danisa joined the club in 1987 and was elected as an Honorary Life member at the 2012 AGM.
He tied first in the 1996 and 2015 Durban championships, and won the event outright in 2001, when
a Swiss tournament was held in place of the usual round robin.
Cyril has won the Glenwood Open on numerous occasions, and won his only Natal Closed title in 2007.
